Pumpkin Patch

This past Sunday we ventured into Augusta to go to the Applejack Pumpkin Patch. I've seen pictures and blogs about this one and thought it looked like a lot of fun! And it was! The kids had a great time despite the wind...darn Kansas wind! There was so much to do, we spent about 3 hours there! We also needed a little family time after all of the chaos that's been going on in our lives. I think this will be an annual trip for us!

The were so cute at this moment!

Things I will miss

(I did not take these pictures) (Thanks again to Susie...what an eye)

I wasn't upset to move out of this house...but I look at these pictures and get a little 'misty' thinking about what fun we had there. We brought Cole home from the hospital to this house. We had great Halloween parties here every year. Morgan broke her collarbone here. I will miss you 1008 Perry...but we've out-grown you.

We've moved...

Well, we've moved. We had been renting the house on Perry for 4+ years and it was time to go. We want our own place! My kids need their own rooms! I need a NEW house that is mine! We're in a temporary place for a couple of months to save some money...you know how it is! We couldn't have done ANY of this move without, first...my family!!!! They are the greatest! Thank you! Second...my friends, The Whytes, Mindy and Faith! Thank you all so so much! I know I will miss the house on Perry, but I'm looking forward to our new adventure and a new house in the future! Thanks for the pics Susie!

2 months...60 days...

Ok...I totally know that most of you that read this are not 'twilight' fans, but I DON'T CARE! Hahahaha! I have 2 months/60 days until 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' comes out and I'm so stinkin excited! My friend Susie and I have rented out The Director's Suite for the midnight showing of the movie in November. This only seats 22 people and does cost more then the average movie, but it's not about money....it's about seeing it with other 'twilighters' and friends! That way at least we know where the screams and squeals are coming from! Susie and I went to check out the venue and take a couple of pictures to see what we were dealing with. The GM of the Old Town Warren is going to decorate and pull out all of the stops. Of course I realize then, that Susie and I are NOT the only crazy 30ish SAHM's about nuts about Edward, Jacob, and the whole bunch! I mean, who doesn't think those boys aren't stinkin cute?! Give me a break! ;-)
I sometimes think that there is an unhealthy undertone to all of this 'twilight' hype, but when you're a SAHM with 2 or more kids that drive you to insanity...you need SOMETHING! And of course I'm not saying that my hubby isn't the greatest, but he does sometimes become part of the insanity!!! But don't they all irritate at some point?! (Love you hun!)

This crazy 'twilight' stuff isn't going away either...'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' is coming out IN JUNE!!! And yes, we'll be renting The Director's Suite for that one too! Mostly this is just fun! A great excuse to get out (without kids of course) with my girlfriends and see a movie in mostly quiet theatre! Doing stuff like this reminds me of stuff my Mom and I used to do when I was growing up. We did fun stuff like this a lot, well, maybe not to this extreme, but you get the point. And she still goes with me to midnight movies!!! I can't wait to do stuff like this with Morgan when she's older! (see...justified!)

I'M SOOOOO PUMPED!!!! Bring on the young, cute boys!

The Spirit of John

It feels like August is 'John Frazee' month...that's because IT WAS! We've had a lot going on this month and I'm sooooo glad it's over! We had another ceremony in which my Dad was the center of attention. (He would hate this btw) CHSM (Complete High School Maize) has been working on a fund raiser for a sculpture in which my Dad had was the basically the center. CHSM is the 'alternative' school in the district. He was a huge part of getting Complete started and when he died he wanted the money to go to the school instead of flowers, etc. They have been raising money since 2004!

What a ceremony...Everyone had the nicest things to say about him. This was probably the hardest thing to attend in the past few years. I couldn't hold the tears or sobs back this time...thank goodness it was outside!

What a great great thing this is...I know the students of CHSM look up to him as we do, even if they didn't know him. He's the 'spirit' of the school! I can't even say in words what that means to me.
