Speaking Louder Than Before: Jeremy Camp

On Thursday evening, I got to spend a great night with my favorite sister...Amy! She had given me a 'ticket' to the Jeremy Camp concert for Christmas. It was an AMAZING time and a very 'uplifting' experience! To me, there's no better was to worship God then through music! And this was some great music! Thanks again Amy!

The concert ended with my two favorite songs.
"Speaking Louder than Before" and "There Will be a Day"
What a way to end an AMAZING concert!

Loss

I just got the news that one of my oldest and dearest friends Dad passed away.
This is always hard to hear.
My heart goes out to her. I UNDERSTAND her pain. I know all too well what it's like to lose your Dad at such a young age. It is just as hard at 25 as it is at 30.
As soon as she told me, my mind had flashbacks to my own Dad.
This is so hard to write about.
I'm always trying to suppress the memories of the last days, but when something like this happens, then they all come rushing back.
My friend knew my Dad very well and was always a big part of my life.
I may not have known her Dad as well as she knew mine, but it doesn't make it any less sad.
A Dad is a Dad. Not just a Father.
I'll be doing a lot of praying for her and her Mom. My heart aches for her because I UNDERSTAND. I understand all too well and HATE that this happened.
You never want someone to experience the loss you yourself have had to go through.
I love you friend and send my heart and prayers to you.

1/2 Birthday

In 6 months my girl will be 5. 5 years old...I will be the mother of a 5 year old. This is very hard for me to wrap my head around. Since Morgan is a July baby, we have to celebrate her 1/2 birthday at school. This seems to be slightly confussing for her, but we had a good time! She gets to bring a 'Me' bag to school with her and wear a special crown. Of course what she brought in her 'me' bag was all of her animals she sleeps with! There are about a dozen! And then a new one for her 1/2 birthday present of course!

She gets to pick out her 'flavor' of cake and icing for her cake to put on the felt board. She LOVES vanilla!

Talking about her crown and showing Bolt!

This was her new gift for her birthday. It's a 'Littlest Pet Shop' Sassy Kitty! This is what she wanted since Breyya got one for her birthday too!

A bear that Santa left her in her stocking!

Telling Mrs. Lori about everything under the sun!
And of course I forgot to take pictures of the yummy PW cinnamon rolls she requested for this party. And we had PINK icing on them! They were a hit!
It's always so fun to be able to celebrate with her at school! I hope she keeps letting me do this year after year!
(side note: I'm still adjusting to my new camera and can't figure out the red eye thing on there, please bear with me. It also doesn't help that my kids and I all have blue eyes!)
