Kansas City/Spring Break

We went on our second annual Spring Break trip this March. We headed to KC again and had a blast! (we were all sick at one time while there) We started the trip out at Coco Key water park and the kids had so much fun! I think Grant and I would have had more fun if there weren't so many pre-teen kids there! We'll know better next time! We also hit up Kaleidoscope Crayola Center and the Train Restaurant. After 3 nights at Legends and a total weather change to snow...we were pooped! Here are some pics in the wrong order....

for the love....

of BOWS and HEADBANDS!
We've been in a bow kind of mood lately!
My GREAT friend Dina over at brag bling and bows
has been busy, busy, busy making and selling bows!
I love'm and wish I wasn't too old to wear them!

The KSU bow

The newest bows and flowers

The 'Green' collection, along with the new
St. Patty's Day bow!

This is something I made today.
This is not an original idea.
I stole it....that's right...you heard me.
But, I've been wanting to try and make something that
wouldn't take too much time and that would be cute and crafty.
I may have found it...we'll see how it works out.
This is how it looks on my head
(ignore the adult onset acne)

I never know whether to smile or just look straight on....
you get the picture!

Kid Car Conversation...

Today, the kids and I took a trip out west to visit The Ross'. We were waiting in their driveway (Cole was asleep) for them to get home from school and Morgan had this to say...

Morgan: Mommy, I want to marry me.

Me: You mean, you want to marry me?

Morgan: Yes, I want to marry you...

Me: Well, don't you think you'd want to marry a boy when you get older...like in 20 years or so?

Morgan: Mommy...I'm just pretending. shucks!

Boy, did I fall right into that one! She's becoming too grown-up...like an actual 5 year old.

just Thursday...

Grant had parent/teacher conferences his week so we actually got to see him a little more then usual! We went to breakfast with the other band director, Bryan Kirk on Thursday.
They have a tradition of going to Copper Oven.
It's a great place....try it out!
After that we headed to my Grandparents house, which is down the street.
The kids LOVE them and the feeling is mutual!
We love to visit them! I'm so blessed to have them around!

Oh Grandpa!

Grandma is such a good sport!
