CO Trip part 3 (random photos)

The North Pole (CO trip part 2)

This is the end of the North Pole photos...I started at the wrong place. Oh well! We had a great time at the North Pole this year! We hadn't been in a couple of years, actually the last time Cole went he was in my belly! If you don't know what the North Pole is, it's a kids fun/play park with a Christmas Theme. The kicker...it's $18 a person!!!!! I know! It's totally worth it if you're kids are old enough to want to ride the rides and to acutally ride them. I'm so glad we went, because a day and a half later we were on the road home and didn't get to go to the other places on our vacation list!

Cole got play guys from the North Pole!

And....we're done

Colorado 2009

We took our annual trip to our cabin in Colorado this year and yes...we're already home! We left hot and humid KS on the 28th and returned on July 3rd...not quite the vacation we were hoping for!

We have a place in Woodlank Park, CO and have I have been going for 26 years now and now..my family goes too! It's a great tradition and the kids and Grant love it out there!

We did end up coming home a few days early because Cole didn't sleep for 2 nights and I didn't want to spend the rest of the vacation without sleep! We usually stay past the 4th because on the 5th of July they have a "Symphony Above the Clouds" in Woodland Park. The CO Springs Symphony comes in and they have a concert and fireworks. It's actually the only way the kids have known the 4th since they've been alive! But, the little man couldn't take it, so we left...
Even though our stay was short, it was well worth the trip.

On a short note, we usually take these trips with my Mom, Jake (brother) and Amy (sisinlaw).

Grant on Pebble Beach!

Grant was away from us for a week in the middle of June. As some of you know...It was probably the worst week with the kids EVER!!! As a wife of a band director, I thought I could handle him being gone a week, but that's not how it worked out! We did survive and he did return to us...THANK THE LORD!
He took this little vacation to visit his Aunt Bev and Grandma Ort. Bev takes a lot of dive trips and asked Grant to come out to 'babysit' Grandma while she was gone. Grandma is about 90 years old. She does alright, but is old and needs help getting around. Grant hasn't been out to California in 15 years and was due for a visit! We ALL hope to go next year!

Here are a few pictures of the things he saw in San Fransisco!
