Stillwater

We had an eventful Saturday. Let me start at the beginning. Since my Dad died and we had Morgan shortly there after...the men he worked with at SNB started a golf tourney in his name and a college fund for Morgan that they all contribute to every year. "Bullnanza"....a man thing no doubt! They have a lot of rituals and are really funny! This is the last year they could do it and they wanted us to come and see them! We send them pics every year with a Thank You from Morgan. They have really been a blessing in her life with the start of a college fund! It was so nice to meet everyone, but so hard as well. Rex and Dad were like brothers and when Rex speaks of him, it's very emotional....for us as well. This tourney also comes at the worst time. It'll be 5 years without Dad on Tuesday....

The man himself...Rex!

My Dad....of course there was a picture!

Some emails and pics we had sent the "bulls"

More emails and pics of the kids!

All of their scores from the past 4 years

An email of them had kept from my Dad...just a couple of weeks before he died.

Rex let Cole hit the ball on the putting green

Morgan going in for the big hug!

Zoo day Birthday

In lu of having a birthday party...I'm still feeling guilty...I took the kids to the zoo for Cole's birthday! Thank goodness for the zoo pass! We met some good friends of mine there with their kiddos who are around the same age. We're so glad the Whyte's could join us! The kids always have a blast and I knew with the weather being so nice we should take advantage. I just love when school starts and there's NO ONE at the zoo!!!!

They wouldn't pose for me!

He was showing his newly found jumping skills....what a boy!

Cole and Emily looking at the tiger

Susie telling the kids to spit like a camel!

The tiger looked at the kids like they were his lunch!
It was funny to see them jump back from the window!

My ode to Forks...for you Susie!!!

Cole's kind of a shorty...so we had to go clear down the line of penguins to find one his size!

Morgan on the other hand is up near the top!

Susie and the boys, Cole and Aiden

Aren't they cute!!!??

She's becoming a big girl

I love it when the kids become friends!!

Look at them!? Don't they ALL look ornery!!

Thanks for the pics Susie!!!!

The boy is 2!

Cole turned 2 today! I can't believe it! He's 2 and now he's a total MONSTER! I can't believe the difference between boys and girls....he used to be so sweet and loving and now...some days it's like there are 12 of him in the house! But other then the crying and hitting, he is my little boy and he's just growing up too darn fast!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY COLE!!!

This was supposted to be a golf ball cake....it's close, but it buckeled under the pressure!

Cole got a lot of 'boy toys'. Most of the time he carries around a baby doll...we thought he needed some tools!!!

Evedently, he's found his 'friend' that will be with him forever! This is what has happened since we've started potty training!

Before I know it, he'll be 22...don't grow up too fast!

Along with the tools, he also got a lawnmower and a t-ball set. He wasn't as interested in the t-ball until sister became interested...hummmm

"I don't know where the ball went"

"mine, mine, mine"....I'll never get sick of hearing that!!! ;-)

Maize Band Camp 2009

The directors....
And Grant...
Mr. Kirk hard at work...

The march off

The Section Leaders with the 'Whitcomb' shirt!

The kids took a picture off of my facebook and made a tee shirt!

One of the days we visited

The DM's...notice the form!

Drum Line

Making the kids do push-ups! Yeah!
The weeny kids who didn't want to get wet!
They wanted to get drenched by the firetrucks too!
All they did was slide in the mud!

Since Grant is now a Co-Director at the HS, he was in charge of band camp this year. It was a BIG change from just being the 'drum line' instructor. The camp was 8 days this year since there were no summer sectionals. The kids and I made it up there almost everyday...they liked seeing Daddy and the 'band kids'.

it's been a while...

It seems like forever since I've been on here to blog. We really haven't done a whole heck of a lot since last month. We have been working on potty training Cole the past couple of weeks and it's going pretty good. Since I've only trained one kid and that's not saying much, he's been fairly easy. I think it helps that he follows Morgan and I into the potty everytime we go. I know it sounds gross, but it has helped! We're still working on the going in public, but other then that he goes on his own at home!!!

Lets see....

Grant is winding up his summer and it's been a LONG SUMMER! The kids and I actually have a few more weeks until we start back. And we have a lot to accomplish before we go back! REALLY looking forward to that!

I've been doing some work with Grant's hs Drum Majors this summer and I have to say that they're the best!!! All three of them are new this year, so I was working with a clean slate....which was NICE! All of them are great kids and it's going to be a really GREAT year for the Maize Marching Band!!!

Morgan has become the sassiest girl on the block since turning 4 last month! I'M NOT READY FOR THIS! I thought I had a couple of more years until the 'sassy pants' kicked in....oye...I'm exhausted!

Mr. Cole turns 2 in two weeks and has definitely come into his own. Along with the potty he had actually been saying a lot more. Of course this is in the form of...'no no', 'that's mine', 'MORNAN, NO NO'...do you see where I'm going with this!? It's one big scream fest at our house right now...fun!

I know this is like the most random post EVER, but that's how I operate!!!
